先日、ある素敵なイベントに行ってきました。

I went to one gorgeous event the other day.


金曜日の夜、
ロンドンの中心でそのイベントは開かれました。

Friday night, the event was held in the centre of London.


ロンドンによくある、少し重厚で静かに佇むそのホール。

そっと扉を開けると・・

そこは２０年代の世界！！

The hall, which is a bit stately and stands quietly.

As I opened the door slowly..

There was a world of the 1920's!!



お洒落で軽快な生演奏の合わせて踊る人々。

「いつ何が起きるかわからない」戦争を体験した２０年代の人々は
ようやく手にした平和な日々を存分に楽しもうと
足を止めることを恐れるかのように踊り続けたのでしょう。

People in the 20's who had just experienced the war might have kept dancing to enjoy their peaceful life, they reached at last, as if they were afraid stopping their foot.

These people were practicing Charleston.


カクテルも振舞われ、
いつもと違う雰囲気の素敵なフライデー・ナイトでした。

It was so nice and atmospheric Friday night.
